Kirtan is a call-and-response form of musical mantra meditation.  It has the power to tap into deep states of consciousness and yet it can also invoke exciting feelings of joy and energy!

Moving beyond the physical asanas (postures), bhakti-yoga is a holistic lifestyle which inspires the practitioner to apply a loving and devotional meditation to almost all aspects of their lives.

At a typical kirtan event, a group of chanters lead the crowd in multiple musical mantra sessions.  Things start off quite calm and introspective but then will often culminate with joyous clapping and even dancing!
